"We go Out on a Limb for You"

On mature trees, pruning is required to remove dead and dying branches to maintain plant health and safety. This pruning type is referred to as cleaning. Research has now documented that thinning, the removal of live branches to reduce density, significantly reduces wind resistance and subsequent storm damage. Thinning should only be done on trees where the crown is "too dense" and a Sunrise Tree Arborist has training and experience to evaluate this attribute. Thinning should be concentrated on the outer portions of the canopy, leaving as many branches on the interior crown as possible. In some instances, the crown or individual branches require reduction in length to improve the form and shape of the plant, to eliminate interference with objects and structures, and to compensate for structural weaknesses. Lower branches may require pruning for similar reasons. This process, known as raising, also can be used to increase the amount of light for turf grass and ground covers beneath the crown of a tree. Sunrise Tree arborists are trained to evaluate the condition of your trees and determine the type(s) of pruning required to balance your goals and those of managing plant health and safety on your commercial property.

We trim only the branches the customer requests sometimes to balance the weight of the tree out. When you have a tree for instance that might lean slightly towards the right side it could be that theres a lot more branches on that right side and that additional weight is causing the tree to lean that direction. By simply removing some of those branches or "some of that weight" hopefully the tree will then straiten out and no longer continue to lean in any directions. Usually it gets worse with either snow and ice or spring when all the additional weight of the leaves come.
If a customer wants to leave a little bit of the tree and take down all of the branches we are not there to argue. We do whatever the customer wants. Sometimes trees closer to the water we cannot take down so we have no choice but to cut all but a small amount buy still leave the tree due to county laws. Our tree services include:Tree Services Include:Tree Elevations, Pruning, Shaping, or Tree Removal, Stump Grinding, Firewood, as well as Trimming Branches.
